The Wish List

Making a wish list in the internet age has become so easy. In fact, it might be a little too easy. Seriously, all you have to do is go to www.amazon.com, create an account, add some wishes and the next thing you know there's a special delivery for a brand new 42" Samsung Flatscreen TV at your doorstep. And from God only knows who. Right? I mean wow! It's like having your own wedding registry without having to plan for the wedding and sure-thing divorce 2-5 years later. (Speaking of which, divorce registries could be Amazon's next big niche market. A friend of mine just reminded me that people getting divorces could use a registry a lot more than newly weds, "since they just lost half of their shit.")

But back to my point, is this all too good to be true? Who can really be sure without making a list and trying it out? That's exactly what Joe With His Own Show (JWHOS ) is doing. By launching a special investigation into Amazon.com's wishlist practices, we aim to discover once and for all if internet Wishlist's really work.

And I need your help dear reader. I've found a very special list and now you're going to try it out to see if you feel like making one of these wishes come true. So please click here to discover a magical wish you'd like to fulfill, then take out your credit card and just do it!

But i have a theory that none you will buy a thing. If I'm right, then I say Amazon.com must be held accountable!!

Santa Claus died with all our other debunked childhood dreams Amazon!! (after which many us settled for Jesus, masturbation fantasy and/or both) So Amazon, If you're shamelessly trying to revive our childish hopes via bogus wish lists --filled with longings of flatscreens, xbox's, etc -- just to get traffic to your site then you--good Company--must make everything right (by clicking here to buy something)!!

In other words Amazon, if you want me to continue using your wish list, then it better start working for me and where it really counts!! I'm giving you two weeks to get some wishes granted!!

(Be the first to debunk JWHOS' theory)
